Agenda Items

Accounts

Up to date accounts were circulated and approved.

Precept

The precept requirement was discussed and agreed at £1000. The relevant paperwork was completed and signed. The clerk to action.

E-mail Address

The Clerk confirmed that a new Parish Council e-mail address had been set up to try to partially comply with the new administrative regulations. This is not using a domain email address which therefore does not attract annual fees.

WLDC Infrastructure Levy

WLDC Infrastructure Levy remaining funds available to spend stands at £1548.99.

Rubbish on the old A15

This continues to be a problem. Councillor Deague agreed to forward further photographs of the problems to WLDC and would attempt to find out who owns the woods in that area.

Annual Litter Pick

The date set for the Annual Litter Pick was set for the 8 March 2026, meeting at the Church at 10am. The Clerk to action.

Water Supply to Church

The Chairman reported that it would be far too costly to install a water supply to the Church. It was suggested that a water butt could be installed, however this was also deemed not viable as the water pipes are cast iron.

Leaking Drain on Blackthorn Lane

The leaking was reported by Mr Davies stating that, over the last couple of years, he has contacted Highways who stated it was nothing to do with Highways although did fit a more secure manhole lid on the manhole. Also, Anglian Water, more recently, stated it was not its responsibility. They did check the leakage and advised that it contained Ammonia. Environment Agency has also stated it is not its issue.

The Chairman together with all the Councillors agreed that it was not a Parish Council Issue. Councillor Walter agreed that Mr Walter would speak to Mr Davies as all the water waste from the houses down the left hand side of the Lane feed into the septic tank held on his property.

 Other Village Issues

The Clerk stated that there were problems closing the shutters of the village notice board.       Councillors agreed it was time replace it with a new one. Councillor Walter agreed to look into the matter.
