It was confirmed that a meeting regarding Tillbridge Solar Farm was to be held at Glentworth Village Hall on Wednesday 11 December 2024. Chairman stated it would useful if as many people as possible could attend as BBC Panorama was going to be present.

Roads and Paths

The Chairman stated that there were still problems with Blackthorn Lane and ‘Fix my street’ appeared to be ineffective. It was agreed that direct contact should be made with Highways or our local Councillor. The Chairman to action.

Layby

A resident had raised the issue of possibly extending the layby in the middle of Cammeringham on the Village WhatsApp group. The Chairman stated that this issue had been discussed in the past and no action was taken as further parking was made available at the side of the 4 cottages opposite the layby. There are 8 parking spaces for 4 cottages which was deemed sufficient and no further action was necessary.

Other Village Issues

An email has recently been received by the Parish from the Community Speed Watch scheme stating that the village does not have a group of volunteers to carry out roadside checks and asked if it would be something the Parish would be interested in. Councillor Menzies stated that the speed awareness signs had made a difference and there had been no issues from residents. It was agreed that would not be required.
