Minutes of the Meeting held on Tuesday 22 November 2022

Agenda Items
Speed Reduction in the Village
The Solar Speed reduction Camera had been accidentally knocked from its post, with no damage to the camera but requiring a new mounting bar and solar cables. Councillor Menzies sourced the equipment required and the Council agreed to pay the costs totaling £64.91.
Accounts/Precept.
Up to date accounts were circulated and approved. The Clerk reported that the VAT applied for on the purchase of the Speed reduction Cameras had not been credited to the account to date.
It was agreed that the precept requirement would remain at £1000 in spite of the upcoming expense of the Elections due to be held on Thursday 4th May 2023.

The Chairman reported that there appeared to be a set of minutes missing from the site, the Clerk to action.
Gov.UK e-mail.
The Councillors agreed that the Parish was too small to warrant the need or expense of a Gov.UK e-mail address.
Council Elections 2023
The Clerk made the council aware that Council elections will be taking place on Thurs 4th May 2023, the term of office of all councillors will come to an end and if they wish to stand again all Nomination Papers must completed and submitted between Mon 13th March and Tues April 4th.
Village Hall Update.
Councillor Deague reported that the Firework display had been very successful and had raised £4500. Councillor Deague stated that he was intending to stand down from his role as the Village Hall representative in the New Year. It was agreed that Councillor Deague and the Clerk would liaise in the new year and offer the opportunity to sit on the Village Hall Committee to Cammeringham residents.

Village Venture
The Clerk confirmed that the Parish Council had received a letter of thanks for the £150 donation.
Litter Pick
The date for the next litter pick was set for Sunday 12 March 2023 meeting at the church at 10am. The Clerk to action.
Footpath between Cammeringham and Ingham.
The clerk reported that a resident had stated their concerns about how narrow the pathway was especially when using a mobility scooter and that the hedge was overgrowing and creating a larger problem. The hedge has now been cut back but Councillors agreed that the path was very narrow and the Chairman agreed to write to Highways in order to find a solution.
Adoption of New Model Code of Conduct
Councillors confirmed they had read the Code of Conduct and agreed to adopt and abide by the Code. The relevant payer work was signed. The clerk to action.
Other Village Issues
Councillor Beatie raised concerns about the health of the Jubilee Tree and if it would need replacing. Councillor Deague suggested it was too early to say if the tree would survive or not. Councillor Beattie agreed to check the heath of the tree and report back.
